Millerbernd Manufacturing Company was founded in 1933 by Paul A. Millerbernd as a heavy metal fabricator and today builds a variety of steel poles, rings and cylinders. Their ability to design and develop their own equipment has kept them at the forefront of their industry. Millerbernd is expanding two of its facilities in Winsted. One project will create a new 110,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. This project is expected to create 28 jobs with an average wage of $21.77 an hour.

“By building this facility, we will harness new expanded capabilities in heavy plate rolling and flash welding, while building additional capacity for our OEM business partners,” reports Isaac Marceau, VP Sales & Marketing at Millerbernd Manufacturing. Millerbernd’s second project is to remodel and repurpose 60,000 square feet of manufacturing space for their Pole Division. This project is expected to create 73 jobs with an average cash wage of $21.86 an hour. This expansion will ensure their long-term growth plans and continue to create employment opportunities for the surrounding communities. Both projects were made possible with help from the Job Creation Fund.
