Operations Priorities

Overview

The Operations Committee reviews and approves necessary reports, plans and policies under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and makes recommendations to the full Governor's Workforce Development Board. This committee meets for two hours each month.

Operations Committee Charter

Committee Purpose/Scope
- Oversee and support an integrated and aligned action plan to implement the vision, goals and strategies of the GWDB’s Strategic Plan 2016-2020.
- Monitor progress toward the plan’s Performance Milestones and analyze barriers and gaps that impede success.
- Champion, recognize and share innovative best practices in workforce development and talent pipeline sector strategies.
- Develop, review and approve required federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and reports, plans and policies, and, as authorized, similar items conforming to GWDB By-laws or State statute.
- Make recommendations to the full Governor’s Workforce Development Board (GWDB).
