The council must have a majority of members who are blind or visually impaired and not employed by SSB. Members must also meet certain federal requirements. Meetings are currently using a hybrid model with in-person and on Zoom on a bimonthly basis, unless otherwise noted. On occasion, the council may call a special topical meeting. Compensation is $55 per diem plus expenses.
