Manufacturers in Minnesota are hiring now and the field offers people promising career paths as we move into economic recovery over the coming months.

Today, I participated in a CareerForce Virtual Career Fair featuring manufacturing employers from the metro, southern and northern Minnesota who are hiring now. This was one of several virtual hiring events featuring manufacturers being held during October, which is Manufacturing Month in Minnesota. Manufacturing jobs in Minnesota pay an average annual wage of $68,081, which is 16% higher than the state's overall average wage. Several of the current Top 30 Jobs in Demand in the state are in manufacturing, including help-production workers and first-line supervisors of production and operating workers. Getting a job in manufacturing now can put a person on a family-sustaining career path.
