Statewide Independent Living Council

Overview

The Minnesota Statewide Independent Living Council (MNSILC) provides statewide planning and policies necessary to provide independent living services to people with disabilities.

State Plan for Independent Living

The Minnesota Statewide Independent Living Council (MNSILC) is required to submit a State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL) every three years to the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Community Living. This plan outlines Minnesota’s vision, goals, and objectives for our state’s independent living network for federal program years 2024-2027. As required by federal law, these goals for the 2024-2027 State Plan will open on Monday, April 15, 2024, for a Public Comment Period, closing on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

The proposed SPIL and a short summary is available. The proposed SPIL is available in alternative languages upon request.

If you would like to provide comments on the proposed SPIL, email mnsilc1215@gmail.com or call 612-518-1497. Please note that your comments will be public, meaning they may be shared in future publications or communications related to SPIL planning.
