Service of Process for Subpoenas

Pursuant to Minnesota Rule of Civil Procedure 45.02 and Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 45(b), the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) will accept subpoenas addressed to DEED or any of its divisions at the following email address: DEED.Legal@state.mn.us.

DEED will not accept service of any other documents at the above e-mail address, including:

1. subpoenas addressed to an individual DEED employee;
2. summons and complaints addressed to the State of Minnesota and/or DEED as a party to an action; and
3. summons and complaints addressed to an individual DEED employee as a party to the action.

Those documents should be served pursuant to applicable state and federal law.
