Local Area Unemployment Statistics (LAUS)

The unemployment rate held at 2.7% in Minnesota in March on a seasonally adjusted basis for the third consecutive month.

The labor force grew to 3,097,736 workers, and the labor force participation rate increased to 68%. The number of unemployed ticked down to 84,205 workers, and the number of employed increased to 3,013,531 workers.

The U.S. unemployment rate fell to 3.8% in March on a seasonally adjusted basis. The labor force participation rate increased to 62.7%.
