The Industrial Partnership for Research in Interfacial and Materials Engineering (IPRIME)

Located at the University of Minnesota brings industry professionals and university researchers together in research on interfacial and materials science.

The Initiative for Renewable Energy and the Environment (IREE)

Quickly has become a central part of Minnesota's renewable energy economy, mobilizing nearly 400 experts around one vital mission: the development of bio-based and other renewable energy resources and processes. With state funding of $5 million per year, IREE supports research in renewable energy and the environment. IREE also seeks and supports the expertise and resources of private business and industry, state public agencies, and the nonprofit sector.
