Pilot Re-Entry Grant

The Dislocated Worker Pilot Re-Entry Program provides employment and training services to individuals who require assistance in returning to or entering the workforce. Authorized under Minn. Stat. 116L.17 and approved by the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Board (MJSP), $3,000,000 was made available for State Fiscal Years (SFY) 2023-2024.

Services to Individuals

The Re-entry pilot grant program aims to reintegrate formerly justice involved individuals who are:

  • Minnesota residents,
  • have not worked for 15 weeks in the last year, and
  • are within 0-6 months of pre and/or post release

The Re-Entry program:

  • Provides employment and training services to individuals who are 0-6 months of pre/post release from various prisons in the state of Minnesota.
  • Provides training that builds skilled workforce in professions that would sustain those returning to their communities.
  • Aims to remove barriers to employment for returnees and reduce recidivism rates in our communities.
