Local libraries provide many services, from ESL classes and children's story time to providing access to books, music, internet, and more. To find a library near you, visit Find a School or Public Library and select Public Libraries from the Search For drop-down menu on the left. Then, enter your street address and city, and press Enter or Return on your keyboard.

Additional Local Government and Community Resources

You may be able to access government or public services in the city or county where you live. Search online for your city and county to learn more about what they offer. Services provided by cities and counties usually include public libraries, fire departments, police, ambulance services, parks, recreation centers, and more. Some areas have additional programs and resources specifically for new Americans, low-income residents, and other populations.
